I've been busy over the past month and haven't been able to post much, but I do keep up with what is going on here. Had to delete a spammer account just last week actually. After the forum revival a couple of months back, we seem to have dropped off some. Not being able to get any new members or having anyone post much. Any members have any ideas on how we can get this thing going again? I know that politics is a big talking point for many current members, and other members enjoy discussing more local events and happenings. I've pushed this on my facebook page a few times, but it looks like we can't get more people interested other than the 10 or so that check the site often.
I know that the Dispatch forum was very popular at one time, many years ago, largely because they had a news source that many people in Lexington would read and want to discuss. We don't have that news source on this forum and are just going by word of mouth. There is no reason this forum needs to go away, because it's free to run and maintain. Just takes a few of us some time to ensure it stays clean of spammers.
I'm open to suggestions!
